Hi I am hoping someone can help me.
I have purchased a T5 manufactured 06/2006 in April 2020; First registered 08/2006 in Australia.
It is a LWB 4 Motion, 128kw, BPC engine with DPF. 271,000 km. VIN: wv1zzz7hz7h0141 **
The ECU is 070 906 016 CD. It shows software version 8776 on VCDS.

Can anyone advise if this is the most current software version? Is it the correct version for BPC 4 Motion?
If it is not most current, then can you advise what the number of the most current version would be.

The reason I am asking is that the DPF matrix is broken, looking from the exhaust end, one can see that some small pieces have fallen out (and must have been removed, they are gone)
The car is still running well. No Fault lights. No smoke. The present DPF is marked 7H0 254 700 J with a manufacture date of 23/07.
The VCDS differential pressure is about 2.5 at idle. Under full load up a long steep hill dP is about 90-100 at 3500 rpm in gear 3 or 4.
I am considering my options for the future as it takes some time for parts to reach Australia.
The local dealer is asking for AUD$6200 for a genuine replacement - about Euro 3800 at today's exchange rate!

Thanks in advance,
Brewer.

8776 is an old version, newest version is 2604. So, it's recommended to update the ECU before resetting the ash load of the DPF.

In your case, that's luck and the ECU recognize the broken and partial melted DPF as working normal and reacts
in normal behavior.

Autsch, that's heavy.
