T5 2.5 TDI Euro2 umbau auf 1.8T, geht das ?

Hallo, ich habe einen T5 dessen Motor (2.5 tdi Euro2)die Hufe gestreckt hat. Der T5 ist wohl nicht so ein Langläufer wie der T4 es war.
Jetzt könnte ich einen kaltverformten Sharan 1.8T(Euro 4), der sogar lpg hätte, für einen akzeptablen Preis bekommen. Ich weiss dass es in einem Benzin T4 5-ender passen würde, nützt in dem Fall aber wenig.
da bräuchte ich sogar nur den Motor. Aber wie sieht es mit dem T5 aus ? würde das Sharan Getriebe passen oder falls nicht das von einem 2.0 TFSI a n den 1.8t Block passen. VW hat ja in all den Jahren nie wirklich was am Flansch vom Motor geändert bzw nur beim VR6 das ganze etwas gekippt ?
Wer weiss dazu etwas ?
Ob das Sinn macht ist eine andere Geschichte.

Hallo, ich klinke mich mal ein, da es mich auch interessieren würde, ob es irgendwo dazu Erfahrungswerte gibt. Ich konnte selber im Netz leider auch nichts finden, nur Umbauten beim T4 lassen sich vereinzelt finden. Bei mir wäre es als Ausgangsbasis ein 1.9l TDI BRS, in den evtl. ein vorhandener APY oder AUQ verbaut werden könnte, anstatt den alten BRS wieder fit zu machen. Nur muss ich mir auch erstmal die Gegebenheiten der Aufhängung von Motor, Getriebe etc. beim T5 genauer anschauen, da der T5 auch für mich Neuland ist. Kennt hier jemand erfolgreiche Umbauten? Ich habe in allen deutschen Foren bis jetzt keinen Hinweis dazu gefunden. Im Grunde nur einen Umbau von Diesel auf Benzin, aber dann den 6 Zylinder.
Ich werde noch alle britischen Foren durchfragen. Bis jetzt habe ich dort auch keinen Beitrag dazu gefunden.
Dort wird wenn T5 dann der Diesel mit einem Volvo Motor getunt. Aber die dürfen ja alles.
Vielleicht müsste man über die Motorkennbuchstaben an die Sache rangehen. Wenns einen 2.0 TFSI hat den es im T5 und in einem weiteren VW hat ist ziemlich sicher anzunehmen dass die passen.

The 1.8t is very often used in the UK on the T4, dunno on the T5; while they put the volvo TDI engine (again) on the T4, but it's just a VW egine coded AEL (not sure).
I have found nothig so far about swaps on the T5, beside a crazy audi V8 swap (UK) and a toyota v6 swapped against a 2.5 TDI PDE (Russia).



I'd like to revive this thread because I too would be interested in something like this.
The research for a T5 AXA is really a pain in that place, they are a small number and when they appears at a fair price, they go in like 2 days. During the window of time between the 3 and the 6, 2 interesting vans appeared, but one went away in 2 days and the other in 3; the rest is very overpriced and many are a bunch of old rubbishes more rust than steel, like a delivery van sold 3 months ago with the guy asking for 5700 euro that reappeared in antoher town with a price of >11000.

If you need to get 4 banger, "the struggle is real..." The demand is disproportionately huge compared to the offer, meanwhile we have a great number of nice multivan that are good for nothing because of the drive bans.

Idk if this one of swap went further; but I would be happy to pay and grateful if somebody (person or commercial company) has the necessary documentation (aka <<abgasgutachten>> and all the rest) from the tuev for this swap, with the 1.8t, or whatever as long as gasoline powered (whatever TSI, even LPG feeded). This way, the choice for the van would be huge.

Otherwhise, would there be some corageous souls (2 of us would not be enough i guess) in here who are interested on the crazy idea to join together in order to get this kind of job done in order to make up the tuev documentation and divide the huge price it will cost?
The requalification of the good T5 TDI, ousted by the oppressive drive bans, could be convenient in such way...

...but also a strong act of rebellion against the govts and the very same VW.
