What is the difference between the First generation and Next generation devices?
Next generation device – more processing power, it works on Android and iOS and will support more car brands when software will be ready.
First generation works on Android and supports only VAG group vehicles.
Will my current PRO version work on new device?
PRO version - your current account - will work properly on the new device. Next generation device will fully support Android and iOS, while iOS PRO version is under development and will be released in Q3.
When PRO version for iOS will be available?
PRO version will be available in Q3 (third quarter – July/August/September)
Are credits I have will be valid on the new device?
Yes.
If I buy Starter pack, can I later upgrade to PRO?
Yes.
Will I get credits with Next generation device?
Starter pack includes 100 credits.
PRO pack includes 200 credits.
Ultimate pack includes 500 credits.
When we can expect to receive the new device?
Shipping will start in June 17th.
Can I use nextgen OBDeleven device for both: Android and iOS?
Yes. For Android you can download application in Google play store, for iOS – in App store (from June 17th).
When application will be available?
In June 17th. Note: you can use iOS application for vehicle identification, Read/clear/share fault and One-Click-Apps. PRO version for iOS will be available in Q3 (July-August-September).
Will First generation device owners get discount? Can I exchange the device to Next generation device?
First generation device is a great tool for your Android – it will be constantly updated for Volkswagen Group support. Next generation device is a tool with more capabilities. We cannot offer discount for it.
Will the First-generation device work properly?
Yes. Android software will be updated constantly.
Why First-generation device does not support iOS?
Device has hardware limitation and cannot support iOS software.
Why I can't purchase OBDeleven device?
Since 1st June of 2017 we had signed license agreement with Volkswagen AG for diagnostic data use in our application. This license grant permission to use diagnostic data in these countries:
Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Croatia, United States, Canada.
We are dealing with Volkswagen AG to get license for more countries.
What car brands will Next gen device support?
VAG group vehicles now and BMW in the nearest future (after software development).
What is the minimum software version needed for IOS?
iOS 11 and above
What is the minimum software version needed for Android?
Android 5.0 and above
If I had PRO on First generation device and I bought Next generation PRO/Ultimate pack, should I create new account?
Yes, if you want to start a new account, which is not necessary.
No, if want to keep your history, PRO license or credits. The current account and the credits you have in your account will be valid.
Can I change the LED color?
Yes. You can set the desired LED light color.
When Next generation device will support more car brands?
First in the list – BMW.
We are working on including as many requested car brands, as we can. Firstly, we need to sign the license agreement with car manufacturers. Negotiations takes time. Software development will start after we will be provided with the license.
