Hi Everyone ... i'm Tim :)
my deutsch is not so good ... i try to explain my problem in english

March 12 i buy a new T6 SIX-GEN - 150HP - DSG7 - DISCOVER MEDIA PLUS, from the first moment the rear-cam was not functional.
Now we are 6 months later and the dealer try everything what is possible .. change the hardware but not with a positive results :/
Now the dealers says there is a new software update (read: firmware update) coming to fix that problem ?
My DISCOVER MEDIA PLUS had: HW22 - SW0245

Is there anyone on the forum with the same problems from the rear-cam.
Has anyone on the forum maybe a worked solution or maybe somebody with the same problem and his solution ?
Is there somebody that know from the "software-update" ?

I hope that anyone can help me ...

12. März i kaufen eine neue T6 SIX-GEN - 150PS - DSG7 - ENTDECKE MEDIA PLUS, vom ersten Moment an die hintere Nocke nicht funktionsfähig war.
Jetzt sind es 6 Monate später, und der Händler versuchen, alles, was möglich ist .. die Hardware ändern, aber nicht mit positiven Ergebnissen: /
Nun sagt der Händler gibt es ein neues Software-Update (sprich: Firmware-Update) kommt das Problem zu beheben?
Mein DISCOVER MEDIA PLUS hatte: HW22 - SW0245

Gibt es jemand auf dem Forum mit den gleichen Problemen von der Rück-cam.
Hat jemand auf dem Forum vielleicht eine Lösung gearbeitet oder vielleicht jemand mit dem gleichen Problem und seine Lösung?
Gibt es jemand, der von der "Software-Update" wissen?
Was ist die neueste Firmware-Update für das entdecken Medien plus?

Ich hoffe, dass jemand kann mir helfen ...

Dear Tim,

looks as some users have the same problem. There is an software update mentioned in this thread. But one user still has that bug. A restart seems to help...

When i read that thread ... is it correct that i read that there is no new update coming ?
The last SW is 0245?
I saw in another thread that the devices with the number 5C0035680E has the HW:30 and the SW:0356.

What do you mean with "a restart seems to help" ?

I'am not a T6 user yet.

Some users in the thread spoke of a dark display while driving backwords. After restart of the engine the camera and display worked correct. Error probability seemed to be unspecific.

I have the problem as well, but restarting my engine does not work.
I always get a notification that says "Parkpilot is not available".
The garage already changed all the hardware (cables + camera), the discover media plus has not been changed.
Volkswagen Belgium told me that a software update is coming in september, this update should fix the problems on a magical way.
If it's a software problem, why are not all the T6 models with the sama configuration having this problem?
 
Good question. A normal bug should be common in many T6 systems.

Do you have a trailer coupling?
 
No, I don't have a trailer coupling.
I own a navigion type C, but there are also T6 owners with a type E.
Type E has HW 30, SW 0356
The C model has HW 22, SW 0245
 
There occurs sometimes a problem with a micro switch in trailor cupling...that is why I asked for it.

I have the same headunit like you. Type C, Hardware H22, Software 0245
My rear cam is normally working. I had two times totally black display when driving back, but this was in march.

In the other thread the owners had problems with the Composition Media. Maybe the OEM is also Technisat, like for the DM+
Software Revision Number is the same...

I think starting point for searching is the notification "Parkpilot is not available", but I don't know which control unit is responsible for this.
 
Hi Tim,

Nothing special. After disabling and enabling the parkpilot the rear cam screen was on the display.
I don't know which software revision was on the DM+ when the failure occured.
In april I was at VW for something other. Maybe they updatet the software.

First of all, if the cam is not working does the Parkpilot Sound??
If not it seems to be a general Problem of the the Parkpilot ControlUnit.

Your VWN Garage is able to have closer look on the rear sensors and/or the Backwarts gear switch

Hi Rasti-ch,

The cams and the AUX-cable to the unit in replace by a new one. The DM+ are not replace for the moment.
After that replace the problems are always there.
When i set the DSG on R .. then i have first seconds a black screen and then the DM+ says : Parkpilot not available.
This problems is from the first day that i have the car .. now we are 6 month later ... tha dealer don't know whats the problems and on this moment VW Belgium say that i must wait on a "magical software update in september"
 
Shure i did undesrtand your previous posts.
If the Signal from the DSG Gearbox ist not valid, the Parkcontrolsystem will not work.
The DM only shows the message of the ControlUnit

OK now you'll ask the right question, but to the wrong guy ;-)

ask you garage and when they are not able to help you, ask for a second evaluation in an other garage
 
First ask your dealer if he has checked signal from DSG...

But to my logical understanding, DM+ receives a signal from DSG R-Position. Thats why it produces the error message just in that moment. And usualy a signal should be on/off, but not somehow invalid.

Assumed DM+ is a good precise system (probably not) and there are plenty of specific error messages, then it could just mean what ist says: Parccontrol sensors are defekt... and system halts and no cam...?

Just a guess...
